What we do with an inquiry, how family papers are kept, and what this website records.

An inquiry

The inquiry form asks for your name, your email address and a message, and if you choose, a phone number and a date the book is needed by. The form is handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, which keeps a copy of each inquiry and sends it to us by email. Messages to inquiries@zichronos.com reach us through an email forwarding service.

We use what you send to answer you and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal. It is not sold, shared or added to any mailing list. If no commission follows and you would like your inquiry deleted, write to inquiries@zichronos.com and we will delete it.

Family papers

Family papers shared with us are kept private and used only for your book. We work from copies wherever we can. When originals are lent to us, how they are kept and returned is set out in writing at the start of the commission.

Records about the family that we receive from archives are used for your book and kept with your commission.

What is published

The family decides what the book holds. Welfare files, medical notes and similar records are handled with care, and they go into the book only with the family’s agreement.

The finished copies are printed for the family. The book is published for sale on Amazon only if the family asks for it, and the family approves what that edition holds. If a relative has a concern about something in a book, they can write to us at inquiries@zichronos.com.

This website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Its typefaces, images and scripts are all served from this site, so your browser does not contact any other company while you read it. Like every web host, Netlify records the addresses that request each page, for security and to keep the site running.
